Всем не секрет что мы запустили новую серию релизов где автором первого из них стала молодая, красивая и очень талантливая девушка из г. Самара – Alla Farmer (Алла Комарова). Релиз «Takes EP» получил хорошую поддержку от Nina Kraviz, Dave DK, River’n'Sea, Alex Danilov, Imugem Orihasam, Philogresz, Combinator, Modul..

Farmer’s passage towards these adult beliefs began with an early love for the funk/disco crossovers of Earth Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder, and Shakatak… all of which were on cassettes “that Alla’s parents would push into her hands.” The transition from tape to high-end tech tools happened relatively quickly, and Alla was rewarded with the inclusion of her compositions in local radio playlists.
This regional renown would hopefully be followed with recognition further afield, and indeed by 2005, Farmer had already garnered the title of Russia’s Best Lounge Producer. Two years later, she entered the line-up of Bajinda, which brings us full circle.
The general impression here of creative zeal is an accurate one, and with the release this week of a new EP, Farmer is announcing that “I’ve got lots of unreleased tracks… and now I’m looking for a record label to release them.” That back catalog of unreleased material just shrank by three numbers, following the publication of “Takes” by Siberian netlabel Electronica. The EP is accompanied by a small text that links the three cuts in terms of a fluid, unbroken process.
If we tweak the English a little, what results is: “Take One. A saturated, synthetic groove, decorated with wonderful detailing. It evokes the kind of wonderful mood that leaves nobody indifferent on the dancefloor. Without lessening the pace at all, we pass smoothly into Take Two, where the atmosphere is just as fine! A brightly-expressed bass guitar does its business! The EP concludes with another, equally huge bassline, fine pads, and an old piano, which scribes a warm and wonderful jazz motif. Let’s get moving! From Siberia with love!”
In a word, we’ve drawn a line from old-school cassettes, full of jazz-funk classics, to an “old piano” that embodies the same style and the same ramshackle setting. Music from the home evolves into music of the home; Farmer’s roots in lounge strengthen this rationale even more. © Far From Moscow (USA)
Le label Electronica représente une nouvelle série exclusive de sorties. Premiers pas avec « Takes EP » d’Alla Farmer qui nous vient de la ville de Samara.
Take 1 – groove synthétique saturé enrobé d’un beat somptueux et d’une ambiance géniale qui ne peut pas laisser un auditeur indifférent, véritable appel au dancefloor.
Sans perte au niveau du rythme nous sommes entraînés au second morceau, Take 2 – toujours dans le même état d’esprit ! Une guitare basse donne le ton du morceau. Enfin Take 3, dernier morceau, avec une bassline toujours aussi monstrueuse, un vieux piano et des atmosphères légères qui nourrisse un jazz chaleureux et racoleur.
